Elise
By: Kevin Carton
Often I think about you
and the crazy shit we use to do
hey we’d get in trouble but we had good times
nights barefoot in the grass
out on the lake, how times have passed
all precious memories of mine
and now you’re gone and left me behind
what’s it like on the east coast
how are the nights
you know you’re missed back home
like that’s a surprise
everybody loved you
who looked into your eyes
goodbye goodbye elise
often I want to go back
to summer nights when we’d just relax
relive the moments shown in our fading photographs
go and lay on the bridge with you
staring up at the sky so blue
and learning things about each other we never knew
so much for our lives here on 29th avenue
what’s it like on the east coast
how are the nights
you know you’re missed back home
like that’s a surprise
everybody loved you
who looked into your eyes
goodbye goodbye elise
we’ll meet again but until then
i’ll write and tell you how I miss you and think you should come back home
what’s it like on the east coast
how are the nights
you know you’re missed back home
like that’s a surprise
everybody loved you
who looked into your eyes
goodbye goodbye elise
